What we treat

Down below on this page, you’ll find the full list of what we treat and programs we offer. A high percentage of injuries and pain syndromes result from weakness and/or tightness in neighboring regions of the musculoskeletal system. Our therapists evaluate possible compensatory patterns in addition to the area of pain or loss of function. This thorough examination allows us to better identify and eliminate all underlying causes so patients achieve lasting results. We also focus on educating you, so that you’re empowered to take control of their injury, grow stronger than ever, and prevent recurrences.

We understand the impact that pain and loss of function can have on the lives of our patients. Can’t recommend Ivy Rehab enough! Liz took my pain seriously when other doctors didn’t, and her attentiveness and care got to me a point where I am pain free.
I’ve been a patient of this clinic for over 18months and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. Liz is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares for her patients wellbeing. The clinic is friendly, warm and welcoming. I’ve had neck issues for years and this by far is the best treatment I’ve had. I truly trust her advice and appreciate all the care and treatment I’ve received.
Phoebe’s treatment regiment is amazing my frozen shoulder feeling much better since I started. Thanks
I have been facing health challenges for years specifically caused by my scoliosis . I am having a hard time coping with them especially because of the pain I am suffering which eventually affecting my mobility. It makes my life miserable. I have been to different PT places. I have been disappointed with most of the therapists except for one I had in Las Vegas and Eddie Sabara, my current PT at Ivy Rehab - Rittenhouse Square. I find Eddie a very experienced, truly professional and dedicated Physical Therapist with a good temperament and admirable patience. Aside from being very knowledgeable, he is genuinely concerned with the health issues of his patients like me. He resolves the issues by his different approaches to therapy as well as introducing new exercises. What Eddie does prove to be very effective for they help me improve my mobility and relieve my pain, which ultimately improves the quality of my life. Eddie is truly amazing! I am very grateful to him. I am also very impressed with the assistants of this facility particularly with Alice whom I find highly intelligent, smart and pleasant. This facility shows evidently a harmonious teamwork led by the very competent Liz with Eddie, Phoebe and Joe and other staff members. I feel comfortable coming to this facility. I consider it the best PT facility! Recommend 10/10
I was a PT skeptic but am now a believer. Thanks to Liz and the team for their help.
I’ve been to a lot of PT places and this has been by far one of the best environments! Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. It truly became a thing I looked forward to weekly. Phoebe was extremely knowledgeable and pivotal to the progress of my shoulder injury
Liz is a great PT! She kept the atmosphere fun and light, while also giving great explanations behind exercises. I’m so glad I went to PT and specifically this office—it was a great experience!
You won’t regret working with Liz and the team at Ivy Rehab on Chestnut! I find PT intimidating, but they created a safe, supportive atmosphere and worked with me to accommodate my ever-changing schedule. When there were issues with my insurance, the team stepped in and worked with me to find the solution. 10/10 recommend
PT Liz has been great to work with! She makes what is the potentially uncomfortable process of pelvic floor therapy a more comfortable process. Would definitely recommend!
Liz with Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy was the best health care worker I have ever had an experience with - I now have the comfort of my life back thanks to Liz who worked tirelessly until I was comfortable and healthy again. Liz has the personality where you feel so welcome and comfortable in the clinic - I truly looked forward to my appointments at Ivy Rehab thanks to Liz.
Liz Giromini is a knee whisperer. When I heard I had runner's knee I was so scared that I was never going to be able to run again without pain. But three months with Liz and I am a month away from my first ever marathon. I have been running pain free, even as my mileage increases each week. So grateful for Liz and everyone at Ivy!!
One of the best Ivy Rehabs around! Liz is great at what she does, and created a fun PT environment
Coming here every week made this process way easier. The team makes a welcoming environment where I felt like I was always laughing. Liz helped me get to a place where I didn’t feel any pain. Recommend 10/10
Joe is amazing! During my initial appointment he made me feel heard and took his time trying to get to the root of my issues. He has always been caring and gentle, and he has truly helped me deal with health issues I've been experiencing for years. I appreciate his help so much. He has been excellent to work with!
Liz and her team did an amazing job fixing my nerve and leg pain problems. The whole office and staff were welcoming, supportive, and fun while also maintaining professionalism while interacting with myself and other clients. Highly recommend for anyone needing PT.
Friendly and efficient service
I have been delighted with the skill & excellent attitude of the staff. The atmosphere among staff & patients is convivial & I enjoy being there. The exercises I have been given to do on my own & the info emails allow me to continue to work on my recovery at home.
Fantastic! No more back and ankle pain! And the most positive and professional environment. Thank you Joe and team!
I started coming to Ivy Rehab in Old City a few weeks ago after a doc recommended PT for shoulder/scapula area pain. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and truly invested in seeing you progress. The facility is clean and easily accessible.
Quinn was a great physical therapist, I would absolutely recommend. I worked with him to strengthen my hips to alleviate lingering knee tendinitis (2+ years, even with a brace). Within 6 weeks I'm doing the same mileage running with no brace and no pain.
UPDATE: I had knee replacement surgery on my other leg in May, 2022. Once again, because of the guidance I received from Eddie Sabara , the physical therapist, and hard work on my part, my recovery and healing went more quickly than I could ever have imagined. I can now walk long distances and can go up and down steps foot over foot, all with no pain - things I hadn't been able to do for years. I want to also recognize the rest of the staff at Ivy Rehab Rittenhouse because they too are extremely skilled, supportive, and friendly. I'd trust all of them with my recovery: Liz Giromini (Director), Joe Fiore, and Phoebe Frank. Alice Ong, the assistant, is attentive to every patient's needs. I don't know how she keeps it all straight in her mind. Shanella Harris is a welcoming presence at the front desk. This is a five star physical therapy practice in every way!DECEMBER 2021: I just had knee replacement surgery on one of my legs. The therapists at Wallace & Nilan (Ivy Rehab) Rittenhouse prepared a program to prepare me for the surgery. Post-surgery, I am amazed at how quickly I am recovering. My at-home therapist said, 4 days after surgery, that I was able to do exercises most patients are unable to do right away. The work at Wallace & Nilan made me stronger ahead of time so that I could recover quickly. As soon as I am released to physical therapy outside my home, I will be returning there to complete my recovery. And before I have my other knee replaced (which is inevitable), I'll be back working ahead of time with Wallace & Nilan Rittenhouse.
Very able staff. They want you to improve.
Wallace and Nilan a terrific physical therapy facility. Very happy with my therapist Joseoh
great staff..friendly and caring
I highly recommend the team at Wallace & Nilan! PT Liz was knowledgeable, skilled, and all-around awesome to work with. Such a relief to find a place like this!
There one man call Eddy don't bother and liten to him I don't listen to peaple but I do listen very cerfully to Eddy he can fix any problem u got . Thank you. I will be here end help as mutch as I can.
I got great care at Wallace & Nilan Physical Therapy working with Christian on my left ankle tendonitis. Christian was friendly and supportive and took great care to listen to my experience with the injury and help me come up with a personalized management program. This all happened 8 months ago and I forgot to write a review then but I'm writing one now because I had a great experience there.
Everyone seems nice, even the patients. Some of the excercises are a little hard but that's why I came, to strengthen and build my body back. You receive what you put into it. If you're looking for a good/excellent therapist, Phoebe Frank is just the one you want.
Incredible staff that are extremely kind and are very proficient at what they do. This is by far the best place to go if you need to rehab any sort of injury or surgery!
"It takes a village... to heal a client." And the village of Wallace & Nilan does just that. The desk and assistant staff get completely involved in making the client feel welcomed and comfortable while the therapists gently prod each individual to perform different exercises for specific injuries. Each therapist has their own unique way of doing things, and I've had the benefit of working with each one. Thank you all for an amazing experience!
Highly recommend going to PT here. The whole staff is great!
I've had a great experience here. Joe planned out my recovery and my progress was excellent. He explained the purpose of the tasks and was helpful. Alice and Jason also helped me with my tasks, and they were both professional and friendly.
Great clinicians and staff who are fun, caring, and patient! I left feeling better than ever and I would recommend them to anyone!
Eddie and team have been instrumental in my recovery from Achilles’ tendon surgery. The team is kind and supportive and has tailored a PT plan to get me back to my normal activity levels as soon as possible. I can’t recommend Wallace & Nilan PT services enough.
I loved going to PT here! The atmosphere is always fun and cheerful and maybe even a little chaotic but in the absolute best way. I’ve been to other places in the city and they’re more of a downer and a chore to go to, but I always looked forward to going to see Liz and the rest of the group here. The care and treatment I got was extremely tailored to my specific needs, and Liz and the team worked to make the exercises more challenging as I improved. It was nice not just doing the same old stuff every session. Highly recommend and I’ll be back here if I ever need PT again!
I really love the friendly atmosphere at W&N! Everyone is super helpful and the positive vibes are felt immediately upon entering the clinic! I never imagined I would be enjoying my rehab experience as much as I have been :)
Honestly you won't find a better place to rehab your injury. I highly doubted I would ever look forward to physical therapy, yet there I was three times a week with a smile on my face. The staff there are all amazing. Liz, Eddie, Kevin, Jason, Mike, Christian, Almu, and everyone else at the office were all phenomenal at their job. After completely wrecking my ankle and tearing all the ligaments, I was pretty unsure about how quick the recovery would be, but they kept their word and had me back and running according to their initial schedule. Look no further then this PT and go have fun while you rehab your injury!
Eddie is wonderful! I came to Wallace and Nilan after my third ACL surgery feeling pretty discouraged about having to go through the long rehab process again. I give a ton of credit to Eddie and the rest of the staff for their support over the past six months. While this recovery has been challenging, I feel stronger than I could have imagined and am back to doing the activities I love. Eddie kept my goals in mind and was so patient with answering all my questions. The months went by quickly because I was constantly being challenged with new exercises and making progress week to week. He pushed me just the right amount in overcoming the physical and mental barriers of recovery, and I am so grateful to now have confidence that my knee will be okay despite everything that has happened in the past. I truly cannot say enough great things about this place.
I've started going to Wallace & Nilan in center-city Philadelphia for therapy for my spine. They're doing a great job. After an initial evaluation and assessment, which lasted about an hour, I now go three times a week for hourly sessions. I'm given a range of exercises that are helping me to improve my mobility and successfully manage my back pain. I recommend Wallace & Nilan.
Eddie has been one of the best physical therapists I have ever worked (with) and he has helped me to continue and improve during my time at Wallace & Nilan....I am grateful for his encouragement and help
Great PT Practice. They build a relationship with each client and knowledgeable. Felt heard when describing my progress or issues. Definitely recommend.
