What we treat

This thorough examination allows us to better identify and eliminate all underlying causes so patients achieve lasting results. We also focus on educating you, so that you’re empowered to take control of their injury, grow stronger than ever, and prevent recurrences.

Every single person at Ivy is personable a fun! More importantly they are knowledgeable and effective. I feel stronger, with less pain, and more respect for exercise. Now I want to exercise more because it helps me feel better. I wish I'd known that earlier. Thank you, Ivy!
Incredible place! Great people! Fixed all my problems.
I always look forward to seeing Jennah!
The best place ever ❤️ Amazing staff!! Felt very comfortable and welcome here!
I have enjoyed doing physical therapy at Ivy Rehab. The staff treats me so well and explains everything to me and me feel comfortable. The customer service is amazing.
I can't recommend Ivy Rehab enough! At the onset of my injury I tried another physical therapy clinic in town (one with a particular upper-body joint in the name) and my experience there was very subpar. The PT they had me doing was mostly just stretching and then some soft tissue work. I had a different therapist each time and some were better than others. At the end of my 12 weeks (what the orthopedic told me to do), I was still in pain and having limited mobility. The orthopedic told me this is about the limit of PT and to keep doing my stretches at home and if it doesn't get better then we can "explore other options". Needless to say, the injury never really went away.Fast forward to recently when it flared up, worse, and I finally had enough. I decided to call Ivy and was able to get an appointment that next day! I started working initially with Molly, who was incredible. The initial appointment felt very comprehensive - she looked at my feet (I have achilles tendonitis), flexibility, and strength, among other things. She started me off with stretching, resistance exercises, and soft tissue manipulation. Within about a week I started feeling improvements and actually had hope! I've been working with Tyler recently and he is also great. For the first time since my injury happened, I am actually seeing improvement and I am hopeful that I'll eventually be able to put this injury behind me.I honestly cannot recommend Ivy Rehab enough. Their entire staff - Jennah, Mason, Brandon, Molly, Tyler - are just beyond great. Everyone is so nice and the attention and care you receive are second to none. Ivy Rehab is the ONLY place I will ever go to for physical therapy again, end of story.
Great place with great staff. Everyone is awesome and the whole staff there is always welcoming and cheerful. When I was out of my sport for a few months they helped me return to doing what I love! 5 starts highly recommend!
This place has been my second home for almost 3 years now. Both as a patient on multiple occasions as well as a student intern. Extremely chill and welcoming environment. PC and PTs are invested in getting to know you as a person and their main priority is to make sure you have a positive experience. Could not recommend something more! Join the IVY family… you will not regret it!
I was referred to Ivy by my dad who has PT at another location. Within the 1st visit I was extremely happy I did. The staff at this location is phenomenal. Shout out to Jennah & Tyler there for always making therapy a good time & successful as well😁
The entire staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. I worked with Molly on two different occasions and she has been very professional and very knowledgeable. She has helped me recover both times. I would very highly recommend Ivy Rehab. The staff is outstanding!
5 stars. 100/100. The whole staff is great! Molly, Tyler, Jennah, Mason. I worked with Molly in preparation for a marathon after an IT Band setback. Molly is awesome and got me back to full strength and on pace for my first marathon. 1000% recommend!
Fun staff, casual yet professional atmosphere. Enjoy going there and feel better after leaving because what Tyler does works
I can't say enough good things above Ivy Rehab. I worked with Tyler and his assistant Mason. They are both incredible! Both very knowledgeable. They have a great comradery and I actually looked forward to my appointments because they were both so fun. I came in with hip and neck pain and am leaving feeling like a whole new person. You don't need a doctors referral to be seen so if you are in pain I strongly encourage you to try Ivy Rehab before you take more invasive measures!!!
First of all, Jennah, the patient coordinator, greets each of us as if we are VIPs. She also does her very best to book appointments that are most convenient for us. Tyler cares deeply about treating my back and foot issues and offers instructions with clarity so that I can participate in my own care. I continue to learn from Tyler how to promote my own wellness in my activities of daily living. What stands out the most to me is the compassion shown by each member of the staff: Jennah, Molly, Tyler and Anna. Thank you, Ivy Rehab, for hiring such outstanding people!
I have been quite happy with my experience thus far at Ivy Rehab. The staff members are all friendly and truly seem to care about my personal goals. I will recommend them to everyone I know!
Specific exercises, understandable explanations, hopeful encouragement, and a feedback loop that keeps progress moving along. I so appreciated the treatment program that took into consideration my learning style, home routines, and fitness expectations. I can highly recommend Ivy Rehab!
Molly is great! She explained to me my condition in simple language and designed a treatment plan that worked well. By doing the suggested exercises at home, I was able to feel better very quickly. She did not suggest for me to keep coming back - instead, she sent with me sets of exercises I could do on my own but left open the possibility to go back in case I need more help. So far, I'm good! Thanks very much, Molly!
Great service! Mr. Bishop is Talented and professional Physical Therapist!
I initially met Joshua Smith, my Physical Therapist when I signed up to (walk ) in the Chicago half marathon in 2019. I would NOT have thought I could even run if not for the fear he removed by me listening to people without Josh's knowledge. At 61 years old, I ran my first half marathon in 2 hrs & 21 minutes (including a stop at the porta potty!)Then 8 months later, I strained my back by lifting heavy furniture. I decided to either try a chiropractor OR P.T. with Josh and am currently in physical therapy. Josh listens, and cares, but more than this, he has the experience in sports-related injuries as well as joint and muscle strains. I decided I needed to stop listening to people who do not have training, and see if physical therapy might help. If you are looking to find a skilled Physical Therapist who listens to you and can help you meet your goals, please try Josh Smith at Ivy Rehab!
I had a great experience with Ivy Rehab on my first visit. The facility is very clean and quiet and in a great location. I met with Josh, he is a SuperStar, definitely ask for him! Josh knows his stuff and as a long time athlete, who has no time to be injured, I'm confident that he get me back into tip top shape. Looking forward to my treatment there, highly recommended!
Great staff!
I have gotten a chance to work with both Josh and Tyler regarding my hip issue. This injury has been a reoccurring issue for me and they listened to what was going on and what I find helps more than other things. Their assistants and techs are very friendly and push you to help you better yourself without going outside your comfort zone. I highly recommend them!
The best place in town for athletes to get PT!
I went to Ivy Rehab to improve muscle activation and build strength to prevent injury as an active yoga practitioner. The exercises Tyler gave me helped me reach muscles I didn't know I had and have already started to make a difference!
getting therapy for a sore glute/hamstring. Felt the improvement after the first session. With weekly sessions and exercises they provided I should be back to 100% in no time!
I had ACL reconstruction performed at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago. I was looking for a local rehab facility two weeks post operation and started doing some digging. I landed on Ivy after working with Alyssa at the front desk. The tone was friendly and inviting from the start. Alyssa went out of her way to get paper work to me prior to my appointment so that I would be ready to hit physical therapy when I arrived. The staff is very knowledgeable on injuries and rehab programs. I arrived at the facility in delicate form. I couldn't get out of a vehicle on my own and wasn't driving. Within 3 visits I gained extensive range of motion and was walking on one crutch. I worked with Tyler Bishop and some of his support staff. The other physical therapist, Josh has subbed in on appointments when necessary and provided knowledge on the injury and excellent exercises that pushed me to limits I wouldn't have taken myself. I feel optimistic that the emaining time at Ivy will lead me to a full path of recovery after my first couple of weeks in rehab. I highly recommend their program to anybody!
Nice facility and great, honest people working there. The team, especially Tyler, is easy to work with regarding whatever is bothering you and takes the time to listen and ensure thorough understanding of your condition. Tyler is very knowledgeable and understands a great deal about the human body and how it works which helps him diagnose and pinpoint pain points. I would highly encourage anyone suffering from nerve entrapment issues to visit ivy rehab.
Josh and the whole team at Ivy are spectacular. Highly recommend if you have the need for physical therapy.
The care and treatment received at this facility is first rate...I recommend Ivy to as many people as I can..The very best in sports related injury Rehab ..
i have had two two total shoulder replacements 6yrs. apart, one on my right, and one on my left. After rehab here, I have no pain, or restrictions in either shoulder. My strength and ROM is fantastic.
Ivy Rehab is wonderful. Everyone is so nice and attentive. Tyler is great with kids!
I just began rehab from ankle surgery. Josh and his team are all very caring, get to know you and make you feel comfortable about the process and what you need to do to be successful.
Friendly staff.
Tyler has been more than wonderful working with my daughter! She is making huge improvements in the short time she has been seeing him! I highly recommend Tyler!
I recommend dry needling for helping sciatica nerve pain. Josh Smith does a gentle but effective exercise with the needling.
Clean, courteous and professional. Just what I needed to get my body back to health. Thanks team!
Tyler Bishop was my physical therapist. He was excellent. He knew exactly what to do. He was kind, considerate, and explained everything to me. The staff was very kind and polite as well. I would highly recommend Tyler to everyone. He is a true professional with a passion for taking care of his patients. I was very impressed with his knowledge and his ability to help me feel better as quickly as possible. Thanks!!!
Josh Smith has taught me more than any PT I have had in 30 years since I first injured my back. I'v met a lot of smart PTs but they will typically treat around the area of pain and generally I always feel like they get tired of thinking and just do the obvious. But backs are complex systems and i end up getting reinjured or new areas of pains. Josh dug deeper into my problem to find some other muscles/injury that were chronically pulling on the area where I have the most pain. He is also teaching me about what is going on to help me make decisions on my own.
Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is an excellent facility. Josh Smith, the PT who has been working with me, has helped me recover from ACL reconstruction--my mobility and strength have improved more than I ever thought possible in 2 weeks!! Josh was referred to me by Ellen Furlong; she also had a great experience. Finally, the student interns who work at Ivy are fabulous.
Josh and the staff at Ivy Rehab are kind, listen well, and do a wonderful job providing for all your rehabilitation needs.
Ivy is the place to go! I have been working with Tyler to strengthen my back/hips/glutes. Tyler took on the challenge of getting me back to running without pain and we have made great progress! He is very patient with me and always has a new exercise or idea for continued progress. I would recommend Tyler and Josh to anyone, especially those looking for a PT who understands the mindset of an active person.
Convenient location, friendly atmosphere and great staff.
My four year old is going to physical therapy to help her walk flat footed instead of always on her tip toes. She absolutely loves going to work with Josh and Tyler! They make it fun while still working on stretching her muscles. She loves walking like animals, playing catch, and balancing through obstacle courses. She opened up to them quickly and looks forward to going! I’m excited to see her growth over the course of her therapy.
Josh and his staff are warm and friendly. They listen and truly strive to help you reach your therapy goals.
Josh is fantastic and his staff is top notch!
After a year of trying to solve various back injuries I finally feel heard, supported, and hopeful about my recovery with Josh and his team. They are warm, welcoming, and truly care about each person that walks in their door.
Ivy Rehab and especially Josh Smith is my go to place for ortho rehab. Josh has taken care of my knees for quite some time. Helped me avoid total replacement for years. Finally age and arthritis has caught up with me and after total replacements I'm back to seeing Josh and I am happy to say he and the folks at Ivy have me back on the road to recovery .Thanks Josh and crew! So looking forward to running again!
As a sports medicine doctor, my job is to help get my patients back to sports and activities as soon as possible and to help minimize or completely resolve their pain. Josh Smith is always at the top of my list of who to send my patients to when they are needing physical therapy. He is especially skilled with treating young athletes/athletes of all ages and I have had nothing but phenomenal results working with him. My patients love him so much. Do yourself a favor and give Josh at Ivy Rehab a call! He is the best!
I have received therapy from Josh Smith for previous injuries and always returned to full functionality at the end of rehab treatment. Ivy Rehab now offers the same quality commitment through their services with Josh. A sincere devotion to improving lives and physical wellness.
After having chronic back pain and an acute back injury that required a trip to the ER, I was barely able to walk even with strong pain medications. My primary physician recommended that I see Josh Smith at Ivy Rehab. Since I had been treated by Josh in the past for a sports injury, I was in full agreement that he would be a great choice to help me recover. After a couple of months of treatment, Josh and his staff have helped me get back to my active life of running a horse farm, feeling better than I have in years. Josh was able to conclude that the issue was actually a hip/pelvic imbalance causing the back spasms and not just from a "bad back". I am so grateful that he and his team have helped me get "back in the saddle", literally! I highly recommend them!
