Emila is the best. I've only seen her for two sessions and she already has my abdomen feeling better. This is after a year of pain and several expensive test. Great place. The whole staff are wonderful. Highly recommend
Great help with balance and core issues. Clean and well maintained facility. Phenomenal staff including Tim and Emila. Very professional and knowledgeable but also relaxed and fun. I really enjoyed my experience. Highly recommended!
Previously went to NovaCare for rehab on my achilles in 2021. Never heard of Ivy Rehab but decided to give them a try rehabbing my knee since they were just a few blocks away. Glad I did. Entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Went twice a week for 10 weeks. Helped my knee get stronger and gave me customized exercises to do at home. Their website has easy to follow videos of each exercise so I'll do them correctly. They treated me like family going so far as politely saying no when I invited two therapists over for dinner at my place. Just like my brother and sister do. Give them a try.
Bill is awesome. I feel like a new person.
Though I’m 80 at heart, I’m not actually, so it was quite the shock to be told by my doctor that I had to go to PT for the first time in my life. Needless to say, I was NOT enthused by the prospect. However, Emila & Tim at Wallace & Nilan / Ivy Rehab Fairmount turned my frown upside down very quickly. They were both incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, friendly, encouraging, supportive, and kindly willing to answer my endless questions. I quickly grew to look forward to my weekly sessions like one would hanging out with friends. I was initially concerned by the prospect of working with more than one PT, and, though they each have their own style and methods and approaches, I truly felt that I was in the capable hands of a very collaborative team – a real tag-team duo. Physical therapy doesn’t work wonders overnight, and they were great about setting my expectations, but it sure as hell works wonders when you have patience and stick with it, and their sincere encouragement allowed me to do just that. I hope that you have no injuries, but, if you do, seek out Emila and Tim, and tell ‘em that Jesse sent you. You won’t be sorry.
Effective + Amazing and fun staff + great service! I had lower back problem for about 3 years and couldn’t even run slowly. After 2 month of physical therapy with the amazing Emila, i play basketball now. They really spend time for each of their patients and make sure you are improving well. I also went back once for my hip and I got better after 3 weeks. Definitely recommend👌🏼
Came in for a shoulder injury and they’ve helped tremendously. Most of the pain is gone
Holly Wright writing this review. High scores for Wallace and Nilan crew who’ve worked on my neck and shoulders with great professionalism, kindness, and good humor. Love this team led by Bill Pinkerton. All the staff are so friendly and competent. Easy to schedule appointments. Clean, airy room. All the gear you need to rehab. Highly recommend.
Matt and the team at Wallace & Nilan were just what I needed when I hurt my lower bad. The road to recovery is always hard and uncertain, but I was back on my feet and at the gym a month after my injury. My PT Matt was always helpful and informative, and the staff was very accommodating.
Great experience. Very friendly staff. My second visit they greeted me by name like I was a long time friend. They really care about helping you get back to being you.
They have the best therapistsI have be here many times and I am always healed completely
Matt, Bill, and the rest of the supporting staff provided exceptional care during my time rehabbing from shoulder labrum surgery. I spent four months with them, and during my time, they made sure I was comfortable with the exercises I was performing, always checking in to make sure I was doing everything right. The progression from passive ROM exercises all the way to active compound movements felt natural and safe. Not only did they provide great care, but they also made you feel at home. Matt, Bill, and the rest of the team were personable and easy to talk to. By the end of my therapy they felt like friends and really nailed the patient/provider relationship. I’d certainly recommend them to anyone whether it’s a minor muscle tweak or a major surgery. Even the location is great! Right on Fairmount avenue with plenty of great spots to stop by before or after your session to make the experience even better. Exceptional care, personable staff, clean facility, great location, what else can you ask for… 5/5!
My experience with the team at W&N Fairmount has been life changing. Their insight helped me gain a better understanding of how to use and support my body overall. Their willingness to listen as I described my challenges and goals helped me feel confident I would be successful healing. They patiently answered my questions and offered innovative suggestions uniquely tailored to my lifestyle. The vibe is friendly and fun while still getting the work done. Forever grateful for their expertise and kindness.
Every major city offers alot of choices for competent physical therapists. However, not every competent physical therapist offers you an experience and relationship that will drive excellent outcomes for you. It is a well known fact that positive relationships between patients and providers drive better outcomes.Wallace & Nilan at 1714 Fairmount in Philadelphia offers you top flight competence, a positive experience every time and a relationship that will heal you. I have often overheard other patients say that their physical therapy at Wallace & Nilan is the best part of their day and week! I totally agree! The entire team is awesome - Bill, Matt, Christa, Christian, and Mary. Every new team member is carefully hired for their ability to provide excellent care, a quality experience, and respectful relationship.Soon I am moving to Southeast PA where there are no doubt alot of competent physical therapists, but my plan is to take the train to Philadelphia to maintain my care at Wallace & Nilan! If you travel 20 minutes to your favorite restaurant, travel for experience and relationship that will drive great healthcare outcomes for you!Don't look any further these physical therapists are excellent! They have a great organizational and team culture that will bring you healing and joy! Five stars! Ten stars if I could!!
Everyone has been very kind and they make sure I am working hard, but not over doing anything or hurting myself.
Found Wallace and Nilan while walking around on Fairmount Ave one day and I am so glad that I did. I suffered a broken ankle earlier this past year and the road to recovery was long and difficult for me. As a former athlete I had suffered injuries before so I was used to the rehab process but I never experienced an injury that required me to stay off my feet and remain inactive for as long my broken ankle. The staff here was amazing, not only did they help me rehab my injury but they listened to my personal goals and tailored my programming towards strengthening my body for everyday use and also for the activities I had enjoyed prior to my injury. The PT that I worked with was Matt Taxin and I could tell from the moment I walked in for my consultation that he is extremely passionate about what he does and my mind was put at ease knowing I had somebody like him in my corner. I don't think I have ever written a review for anything, but after my time here I felt it necessary to share my experience so if there were anybody else in a similar situation they know where they can go to get truly some of the best care I have witnessed in all my time in Philadelphia. On a separate note I am happy to see how well the Licensed staff works with students / aspiring physical therapist, because if the students turn out like the staff at W & N there will be a lot more fantastic physical therapists in the world. Wallace and Nilan helped me get back to doing the things that I enjoy pain free and I hope that others will be able to share a similar experience to me. Thanks Matt and the rest of the staff at Wallace and Nilan Fairmount!
First, arguably the most important point, is that after attending weekly sessions at Wallace and Nilan on Fairmont Ave, I am 100% healed. Their PT is superbly efficacious! All of the PT staff and their assistance are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and attentive in all of their work. I think they impress all patients that attend their office. Also, all staff at this office are extremely friendly, professional, empathetic, and passionate about PT. They are personal and make you feel welcomed. They were also incredibly helpful with my insurance company - they will take the lead, which is extremely appreciated in days where it is hard to get insurance companies to cover many medical issues. There isn't one bad comment or growth edge I can say about Wallace and Nilan at Fairmont. THANK YOU to their team of experts for helping me heal.
Great experience here, everyone is friendly and Matt T. helped me a lot with muscle pain I'd been having. Good scheduling options and made it easy with insurance and co-pays. Excellent option for those in Fairmount that need PT!
Conveniently located with evening hours. The staff here take their time to understand your needs. Always willing to find adaptions and new exercises to help me progress. Bill developed a plan that is easy to replicate both in the office and at home. Fortunate to have them in the neighborhood. I
Highly highly recommend Wallace & Nilan Fairmount location! Bill Pinkerton was wonderful with helping me rehabilitate a shoulder injury. He's kind, patient, knowledgable and really attentive. The whole team is fantastic and I will miss them dearly!
Wonderful experience. Highly recommend! I worked with Matt D (there are two Matts at the Fairmount location). He is fabulous - highly knowledgeable and helpful in my healing process. I would have continued longer but live overseas.
Needing physical therapy is never a "fun" experience, but the team at W&N made my recovery comfortable and rewarding. They were an incredible support system after my surgery and I cannot thank them enough!
The service and care here is outstanding. The staff is as friendly as one could ask for and everyone is professional and knowledgeable. I enjoy working with Bill, he helps me to understand the physical problem and how the treatment addresses it. He gives good guidance on form to make sure the exercises are down properly. Definitely above and beyond just running you through a list of exercises.
I’ve been to a few places for physical therapy, and when I first walked through the door here, I immediately felt welcomed. Staff, students on clinical rotation, and fellow patients have all been consistently friendly. The care has been more hands-on and personalized than anywhere else I’ve been! I’ve felt simultaneously cared for and pushed every session - exactly what you want in a PT setting. Truly a “small business” “neighborhood” feel. Would absolutely recommend.
I’m grateful for the expertise shared with and for my care. Bill Matt angela and the team are doing a great job with me and my recovery.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Definitely helped with my recovery in so many ways - fast results due to their insight and expertise. Would definitely recommend 🙂
I literally have been seeing improvements since the first day the staff is great highly recommend
I came to Wallace & Nilan for a strained MCL. The team is fantastic and the atmosphere is extremely encouraging. I feel much stronger now getting back to running, with a new “off day” routine to keep my hips strong. Hopefully I won’t need PT again, but if I do I’ll definitely go back to Wallace & Nilan.
Matt, Bill, and the whole team at Wallace & Nilan Fairmount helped me recover from knee surgery for a fractured tibial plateau. I crutched into their facility and was walking out the door on my own two feet just over two months later.I primarily saw Matt and he provided complete care making sure I was regaining mobility/range of motion/strength in my knee as well as focusing on my general health. Matt always kept his focus on my overall health all while making sure my knee was getting back to full strength. Matt was very attentive to any pain and discomfort I was having, always asking about what my knee was going through at home, what activities caused pain/discomfort, what has improved, etc. He was very good at helping me be informed about my knee and how it was healing. Being so informed about my recovery was encouraging during the process.I always enjoyed my time in their facility because the team is so friendly. I enjoyed catching up with everyone on their team and will miss my time there. I am very grateful for their help. I have my knee back and I’m living healthier and more focused on my overall health thanks to the complete care provided at Wallace & Nilan Fairmount.
Everyone in here is super nice and committed to helping you, Bill was my PT 10/10
This place im recovering from a Left ACL surgery and i found this place and its amazing from the staff to the location and facilities is top notch they going get me right for the summer
Matt and the others at W&N bring the classic Fairmount neighborhood feel to their practice. As a marathon runner going through a hip injury, they diagnosed the cause and had me back and running in no time while also putting in the conscious effort to help me develop preventative measures and strengthening to deter re-injury. Highly recommend for anyone looking for friendly and thorough physical therapists.
I recently experienced back pain that hampered moving around comfortably. At one point, the pain was so intense that I was simply unable to move. Upon hearing about my back pain, my doctor referred me for Physical Therapy. I made an appointment with one of the referred ones and just happened to mention the situation to a friend. He told me that he was successfully treated at Wallace and Nilan and that it was a lot more affordable than many of the competitors.I contacted Wallace and Nilan and was given an appointment much faster than I expected. Bill treated me with some targeted exercises and I saw results pretty immediately. Over two months, we worked on strengthening my back muscles and the pain is now completely gone. I am able to move about as I did before and exercise. The staff was very friendly, effective and responsive, and insurance covered most of the treatment. Thank you Bill for bringing me back to normalcy and for doing a great job in my community.
Came here after I tweaked something in my shoulder during a workout at home. Was nervous at first and didn't know what to expect but Bill, Christa and Christian were all awesome from the start and very informative. Always took time to answer any questions I had and even taught me a lot of stretches I could do at home and were kind enough to even check my form when I asked. Will definitely recommend you all if it ever comes up.
I had the most great experience here at Wallace & Nilan physical therapy at Fairmont Ave, location, Nora and Krista were very professional in their expertise of work, Nora really worked with me getting me to feel better now and in long term recovery. I most definitely would recommend this to people, also there were other males staff members who work there and was great too, thank you to everyone 😊
I've only had one session so far but it was great. The place is really organized, the person who works the front desk is really nice and helpful. I've had physical therapy before and it's not always a great experience, but Nora is exceptionally good at making you feel at ease. She really listens and works with you. I've been in pain for over a month now and after our session I felt hopeful about recovering for the first time. The app you get to do home exercises is extremely useful, I've already used it several times. Office is also clean and safe with everyone wearing masks, hand sanitizer available, etc. Overall this place easily stands out compared to every other physical therapy experience I've had.
Bill and Christian are terrific. I have had a lot of PT in my life and Bill is great. He is clear, encouraging and really works you. Christian, the receptionist/aide is super helpful and easy to work with.
The treatment and Care was phenomenal!
Very good work
A huge thanks! I spent 6 months (on and off Covid) with Nora, Bill and Krista doing PT on my post-neck-surgery rehab. I started with lots of shoulder, neck, scapular pain and walked out of there 6 months later feeling a ton of relief. The entire staff was amazing. They listen to you, ask questions, and genuinely care. I can't thank them enough for truly giving me my life back. Great people.
This location is the best! The evaluate your issues and set a plan for you to know what your doing in treating yourself. They immediately took me in during COVID pandemic, if it was not for them I would not have healed rapidly as I did. Staff is super friendly and answers any questions you have. They also have a great home program to do the necessary workouts to get yourself better and back into movement. Totally recommend this location with helping your physically therapy.
Staff and Physical Therapists are tops in their fields. My two lingering injuries, and constant pain, were resolved with hands on care and clear communication both written and verbal. Thank you Nora for your expertise and good nature.
I had an amazing experience rehabbing my shoulder here. The staff are all so professional, polite & friendly. They have really hired all around great people here, very talented crew! Nora, Bill, Krista & Christian have created an atmosphere that is warm, inviting and most importantly feels as safe & sanitary as possible during these crazy Covid times! So glad I chose this location to do my physical therapy, if you’ve been recently injured I highly recommend giving their team a try!
The facility is local for me so when I needed some PT after a surgery I tried this location out. Glad I did! I’ve been working with my therapist, Nora Corbett for just a few sessions and have already noticed considerable improvements in my recovery. Nora takes the time to listen, ask questions and derive a personal plan with goals to get better, faster. She is extremely knowledgeable in her profession. GO HERE for the best care, and ask for Nora!
The staff at W & N was knowledgeable and very helpful in treating my shoulder injury. The exercises I was given produced great results. Scheduling (and rescheduling) appointments was always easy, and would recommend sessions here to anyone needing physical therapy.
I sought some help for what I believed was carpal tunnel in my hands, and Nora, the physical therapist, noticed that I had tingling throughout my hands, not just the first three fingers, which meant it was something else. (who knew!?) After four weeks or so working my back and spine the tingling was reduced by more than half. Back to what it was before, so to speak, as Ive been a writer for years. Great work by Nora!
Great atmosphere, super kind staff, helpful services to have me feeling back to normal!
I have had 3 sessions at Wallace & Nilan so far, and I'm really enjoying them even though each session gets more challenging. My therapist Nora Corbett is wonderful, and really helps me to feel better. I'm very satisfied and very glad I chose this location!
Attentive, skillful PTs, pleasant, positive atmosphere.
They continually fix my various injuries from working out/getting old and do it in a fun and easy to replicate at home manner.
Wallace and Nilan in Fairmount is an excellent PT facility. The space is inviting and organized, and the staff members are engaged and helpful. Bill Pinkerton, the physical therapist, is a knowledgeable, thorough, and committed professional. In addition to his proven expertise, he also has an open, friendly manner which makes you feel welcome and at ease.
Bill Pinkerton and his team at the Fairmount office are the best. As a physical therapist and fitness trainer, Bill understood my need to be able to continue to work/workout, even with an injured shoulder. His ability to treat the whole person, not just the injury, is one of the reasons I refer clients in the Fairmount neighborhood to him. He is able to make a speedy and accurate assessment and get patients on the road to recovery quickly. Highly recommended.
If you are committed to help your body: that's the place to work on it. I've been working on my migraines for a month. As a result: they are less frequent and intense. Why: twice per week I get neck manipulations on the trigger point that usually radiate pain + back exercises that have helped develop muscles not usually solicited. Hours are convenient enough to not impact work day.
I had two injuries this year and with Bill’s help I am back in the gym 5-6 days a week, back to my social activities, and with almost no pain. He is consistent and dedicated to his patients and explains everything very well and answers all your questions so that you understand your care. The staff is so warm and nice as well making this a great and positive environment to heal and get better!
I'm so grateful to the whole team for the thoughtful attention to the recovery of my running injury. The program that was created was tailored specifically to my needs and I felt listened to and cared for. I could barely walk when I started the program and I feel great now. I also have a library of stretches and exercises I can do on my own to prevent the injury from happening again.
Bill Pinkerton and his staff are good people. Bill created a plan to meet me where I was at and modified it as I progressed towards recovery: he was completely in tune to any physical developments along the way. Thank you!
I'm delighted to say that the treatment I received from Bill & the team at the Fairmount Wallace & Nilan helped me avoid more invasive treatments for my Achilles tendon. It's a convenient location and nice space, but most of all, it's PT expertise that can be trusted. I'll sort of miss going, but I'm thrilled to have graduated from PT and getting back to running. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for physical therapist that will help you get back to your normal self or your best self, I highly recommend checking out Wallace & Nilan on Fairmount Ave. Bill and the Fairmount staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Bill is very patient and he listen to my concerns regards to my injury and tailor the PT accordingly. I do feel alot better since I started my physical therapy with him.
