I cannot say enough good things about my experience @ Ivy Rehab. Darima Bud and her crew were EXCEPTIONAL!6 weeks prior to my honeymoon, I had meniscus surgery on my right knee. Needless to say, a bit of an emotional roller coaster leading up to the deadline, but with some hard work all around, Darima and her team got me to 100% in time to fully enjoy our trip!Don't waste your time elsewhere - I've tried other 'chains' (other knee years ago, and one quick visit this time around) and the personal attention and compassion @ Ivy is unparalleled. The vibe is upbeat, even when you're feeling a little overwhelmed. Great banter and friendly staff to lighten the mood - but the team is also incredibly invested in what they do!They manage their multiple patients extremely well, taking time to TRULY listen to you. Every session started with a genuine "how do you feel / how are things going," which never felt rushed, and the check-ins during the exercises are frequent, if not a constant watching eye. Not the case everywhere, as you're commonly left alone, to feel as if you're just a number in their system. At no point did I ever feel neglected, or as if the therapists were just going through the motions. They know their stuff, constantly discussing the latest - while learning from, and training the next generation. Although they followed protocol, they were willing to push a little harder, and modify when appropriate to help me reach my goal! Not only did I heal quickly, but I learned a LOT. Never was it a "just do this" scenario, but they were willing to discuss the why, which I found to be incredibly helpful and assuring. I appreciate them sharing their expertise along the journey, and since day one I felt confident in their skills. The passion they had for helping others was evident from the moment I walked in the door - and remained for every other patient in that room.I feel very fortunate to have found them, and owe it to my friend, another patient of theirs, for her glowing reviews and putting me in touch! Now it's my turn to pass that along. You can stop your search, these guys are the real deal!Thank you so much Darima and Crew!PS: I'm a freelancer, and when not physically able to be @ work the income stops. The team was sensitive to this, and very accommodating with their scheduling. They got me back to work very quickly, but helped me ease into it safely.
Andy and the whole team at Ivy were great! I came in for a torn labrum that was preventing me from doing many of the athletic activities I enjoyed doing. After my rehab at Ivy, I can now get back on the field without fear!
This review is long overdue but better late than never! I had a wonderful experience at Ivy Rehab in Cobble Hill after a foot surgery last year. Chris Kirby, Merlanda and the rest of the PT team kept me in shape throughout my recovery, and also kept me sane, pulling me out of the initial healing weeks of immobility, eventually getting me back to 100% capacity. I really looked forward to every PT session! Each therapist at this location is a knowledgeable and compassionate pro. They are all friendly, will challenge you, and want you to succeed in your strength and healing! I cannot thank or recommend these guys enough, and I will definitely go back to them should I need PT services in the future!
I can't recommend Ivy Rehab on Court Street enough. My physical therapist Christopher Kirby literally got me back on my feet after an ankle injury and was truly incredible. I went from nervous and hesitant to confident and back to my active life. Everyone at Ivy Rehab was professional, welcoming, and truly empowering.
I was on the hunt for physical therapist after being recommended that I attend therapy by my doctor following an ankle tendinitis diagnosis. A practice that is reputable was the most important thing to me and seeing that Ivy Rehab is affiliated with HSS checked the box for me.Merin, my assigned therapist, had the expertise, bedside manner and patience that helped me get stronger overall and to a point that I hadn't been when I began running as an activity. Even when it was busy, she finds the time to address your needs.Through her, I was able to learn a lot about myself (limits and capabilities) and with those findings, I'll be able to apply the techniques taught going forward to get stronger and avoid further injury.I can't recommend the therapists at the Cobble Hill location enough.
The therapists at Ivy are so kind and knowledgeable and helpful! They were very patient with the millions of questions I asked, and they very clearly explained my treatment. My therapist was Merin T and she was lovely!
I had a great experience at Ivy Rehab with Merin as my PT. Super clear and patient guidance, friendly people, and most importantly - effective! Would recommend to anyone in need of PT.
They took a wounded bird and helped it fly again. But in all seriousness, the staff was very helpful. Everyone I worked with was great. I had a fairly serious back strain and they got me back to golf and pickleball pretty quickly.
I cannot recommend Merin and the Ivy team enough. I was behind on my quad strength target at 5 months post-ACL surgery, and wanted to work with PTs who can get me back to playing sports. I worked largely with Merin, and she was awesome. She listened to my concerns and tailored my exercises to make sure I was building quad strength sustainably and safely. I started with 3x a week, and then tapered to 2x—I enjoyed every single session. The difference in how much stronger I felt in January vs. now (May) has been night and day.If you are recovering from an ACL surgery (or literally anything else), definitely come in to Ivy to see Merin and the team (I worked with Andy sometimes too and he was awesome!)—they’ll take amazing care of you. Everybody at Ivy is so friendly and attentive, you’ll look forward to PT! 10/10 every single time.
I did PT here for a few months prior to returning to soccer following 2 ACL surgeries from soccer injuries. The facility is clean and comfortable with excellent equipment. Merin is an exceptional PT — she pinpointed where I needed to get stronger, gave me exercises and cues to get there, massaged the scar tissue and scars and tightness, and got me back to playing soccer with confidence.
Ivy Rehab on Court St is a great place to go for physical therapy! I went there to recover from a pelvic fracture that left some residual tension and weakness. My PT Merin was very patient and thorough with my care, and through her help I feel much stronger and more confident in my abilities. The entire staff at Ivy Rehab is very welcoming and supportive, and they create an environment ideal for strengthening and recovery. I couldn’t be more grateful for their help.
I’ve never done PT before but having Ivy Rehab as my first experience with it, I couldn’t be happier. The therapists and staff are all lovely, thoughtful and well-versed in their fields. They helped me through knee pain/treatment over a period of about 4 months. I’m pleased with my results and my time here was time well spent.
The team at Ivy is incredible. You get individual attention and their only focus is on making you better. Highly recommend!
Andy is an amazing PT! Wouldn't go anywhere else.
I love this place! I came 2-3 times a week for nine months after knee surgery (TTO & OCA). During that time I had sessions with most of the therapists and they are all excellent. They all have a slightly different approach so don’t be afraid of seeing more than one. Each PT was very careful to follow my (very strict) post op protocol. They helped me through everything, from walking again to running to back to sport testing. On top of that, the facility is clean and has all the equipment you could want. The atmosphere is fun and supportive, which made a big difference for me in the emotionally challenging weeks and months following an intensive procedure. If I need PT again, I’ll definitely return.
I had a great experience here! Darima and the rest of the staff are very friendly, flexible, and willing to accommodate your needs. They’re well organized and I’d definitely go back if I needed PT again. Highly recommend!
The team at Ivy Rehab is truly exceptional. Their expertise and passion for what they do shine through in every session. Though my physical therapy journey was long, their unwavering dedication and the light-hearted atmosphere they cultivated made it easy to stay motivated. A heartfelt thank you to Durima, who truly understood my needs and brought creativity to our sessions, making hard work both engaging and rewarding. I can't thank you enough!
Darima is the best!! 🙌🏻
Working with Darima after my shoulder surgery completely changed the nature of my recovery. 6 months out I am now stronger than was before my injury and able to use my arm in ways I worried I wouldn’t be able to for much longer. The whole team at Ivy Rehab Cobble Hill truly made this difficult process more pleasant than I ever expected PT could be. I could not recommend this place more strongly. Worth the hour bus I took several times each week.
Best place to get physical therapy in Brooklyn really convenient to get to, I highly recommend this place
My daughter had a wonderful experience at Ivy Rehab working with Andy Parker. The team was very supportive and she recovered really well and came out physically much stronger.
I have been using various Physical Therapy facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn for decades, and I feel that two of those facilities stood out for giving exceptional care for the patient trying to overcome an injury. I found Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Center of Excellence (on Court St) and NYULangone (E 38th st) to be the best places to go for overcoming an injury through physical therapy—time spent here will definitely pay off. Chris (my PT) was exceptionally well informed, hard working, attentive. He drives you to achieve the best you can…and, as an added bonus, was a lot of fun to work with. Chris really tuned in to my specific problems, and continually redesigned my exercise program as I progressed. And he didn’t just assign an exercise, he patiently took the time to explain my injury and his ideas about treatment, why the exercises he assigned me will help, and where he thought I should focus to get the best outcome with PT. Besides being extraordinarily skilled at his job, he exudes a positivity that is contagious, and he strives to make each session fun on a purely social level. I can’t recommend Chris—or this facility—highly enough. The rest of the staff are incredible as well, and they all make you feel welcome and cared for, even when you are not their patient. The whole staff has a dynamic interaction with each other that results in a great environment for the patient. Mirlanda, who is assisting all of the PT therapists, is a lovely addition to the staff as well, and will have a bright future in the PT field. This is the place to go if you are serious about your recovery, and want to see improvement in your condition. I can recommend Ivy Rehab (Court St location) and Chris highly and without reservation.
Ivy Rehab truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine care. Chris, my physical therapist, went above and beyond to make sure I felt understood and supported. The entire team at Ivy Rehab creates an environment that fosters growth and healing, and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. Highly recommend to anyone seeking top-notch physical therapy care!
Greetings! My name is Anthony Williams and I was a patient at your facility being treated for Bell's Palsy. It was such a great experience because the staff and the community that were there, gave me a sense of confidence without me being judged because of my appearance. My face was contorted, it made me very aware of my appearance. The emotional impact of my facial paralysis triggered a certain sadness in me, at the very beginning of my diagnosis. However, with the treatment that I was administered from Ivy Rehabilitation was enormous and professional, it made me feel that I was part of the {GANG}.Darima Bud, what a great Physical Therapist! She made me feels so welcome to your facility. Also, Darima took pride in her work ethics, and was graceful and compassionate towards me and the other patients that were there at the clinic.I myself, am a cancer survivor, and having cancer did not bother bother me as much as Bell's Palsy did. I believe because It was visual, while the cancer was not.Once again, Darima Bud was excellent with her Physical Therapy skills. She always came through with different PT exercises and innovative ones at that. These exercises helped me towards my healing process. I would recommend Darima to the world if I could. She was such a blessing throughout my journey towards recovery. I Thank You Immensely for Darima!Reanna Adams, What a warm pleasant individual! She exudes hospitality as soon as you walk int your facility. I used to like making her laugh at different things concerning me. She would schedule my appointments with accuracy and would follow up with a phone if there was a conflict in scheduling. I believe Reanna Adams is a great access to your company because she is the first person of contact at Ivy Rehab. It is great to have a person with such elegance. The warmness of Sade Grier, cool/kool, calm, and collective was just awesome. The entire staff was professional and fun to be around. It was a welcoming experience. My whole impression of Ivy Rehabilitation was just GREAT.Respectfully,Anthony Williams
If you want PT nerds, this Court Street location is the place (that's a compliment)! When I talk with friends about PT, they sometimes say PT "doesn't help". This is NOT that place! Chris, Andy, Darima, and Mirlanda (and various interns) are really, really into PT and recovery. I have been a patient at this location for almost 8 months for a completely torn achilles tendon + surgery. I probably could have stopped earlier once my insurance said I was "done," but I have received so many benefits by going that I'm continuing to go about once a month to keep rehabbing my achilles/calf and improving in general. I've learned about how my body works to support myself because of rehab from this injury and I have to say that I'm stronger for it. I also did not lose a lot of muscle from surgery recovery b/c of what they put me through. Chris is my primary therapist and he's funny and kind and loves his dog. He'll push you if you want but also knows not to let you go off. And Mirlanda is the best, super chill and helpful with form and stepping in as needed <3. I think there's a reason they sometimes run out of towels b/c everyone is working hard (joking). They work as a team and they know and like each other so you basically get to know everyone. As well, it's affiliated with HSS (where I had surgery), so there is a focus around being current with stuff, case study review and prof development. Plus, they just LOVE that stuff. They also will go to bat for you with the insurance people (they know the drill), which they did for me to get more sessions. Also, they just lowered their self-pay cost so it's more in line with what insurance would pay which is a plus and def encourages me to keep going. I have also witnessed other people come in around the same time did and go through PT and get better. You still have to do the work in and out of the place, but this is a great, supportive place to learn and do. Believe me, I've spent a LOT of time there :D Thanks guys (see you soon lol)!
This is a great PT facility. I have been working with Darima for a few months now after surgery and she has greatly improved my mobility and ability for physical exercise. The office staff is also very friendly and everyone who works there genuinely cares about their clients. Highly recommended!
Great facility and caring physical therapists and support staff. I worked with Andy and his team for about a month and a half over the summer and couldn't recommend their informed and impassioned team enough. The facility is clean and everyone who walks in is given ample and equal attention. Highly recommend if you're in need of physical therapy.
If you're in need of physical therapy, this is the place to go. I worked with Darima and Chris. They worked with me and helped me get back to running. They provided exercises and great advice to make this possible. Being a long-distance runner, in my late 60s, I have lots of experience with physical therapists. Both Darima and Chris are very knowledgeable and have easygoing personalities. They provided me with their thoughtful expert advice. My experience was that, for the most part, they worked with one to three people at a time, which is less than other places do. They didn't rush me out the door, as other places I have gone to have done. In addition, the support staff, which includes Sylvia and Merlander, are friendly and wonderful. The establishment is clean, bright, and airy. Hopefully, I won't need their services again, however if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Shame that I can only give them 5 stars! Everyone that works at the center is incredibly kind and knowledgeable! It has a very friendly atmosphere, all the patients and physical therapists chat together. I was taught a wide array of movements and exercises to help repair my shoulder while my scapula was healing after lymphoma. They also used different types of massages as well as cupping to alleviate my symptoms and to help me fully recover!
Ivy Rehab Cobble Hill is great - good location, equipment, and everyone there is incredibly helpful. Andy is very knowledgeable and hands on, Chris & the rest are great too.
Excellent, knowledgeable, attentive and compassionate staff. They really challenge you, but in a safe manner
I came here for a kneecap dislocation (3rd time) so I was wanting to try a new PT since I haven't had the best experiences with my last few.My experience here and with Andy was incredible. He is really knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I actually looked forward to coming in every week. My recovery was faster and better than any other time I've been to PT. The whole experience is easy and efficient. I never felt rushed or unattended during my appointments. Andy did a good job at mixing up exercises and pushing me to try new things. They also have some really cool equipment that was fun to try out.The assistants he had during my appointments were also great. Also, Sylvia at the front desk is incredible. She made all of the insurance process so easy and uncomplicated and was very responsive when I needed anything. Can't recommend enough!
Great experience at Ivy PT. Andy is fantastic - super knowledgeable, patient and attentive! Already starting to feel better!
Excellent experience rehabilitating at the sun-filled and clean Ivy Rehab location in Cobble Hill! Andy has skillfully helped me regain use of my tibia after a sports injury, Sylvia is an appointment and organizational queen, and they offer an at-home exercise program for you to keep up the work in between appointments.
Andy and Chris were great to work with and were a big part of a very successful recovery from ACL and miniscus surgery. They know their patients really well and tune their approach to our specific needs and stages of progress. They even helped me identify the likely underlying cause of the injury (bad form in jump landing) and gave me a great array of tools to stay stronger and avoid injuries moving forward. Excellent care and a really warm and welcoming place.
Ivy rehab is by far the best place to go for physical therapy. Everyone there is very knowledgable and want you to feel better as soon as possible. Andy and chris are very professional and take the time to get to know you so they can help you. I would describe the experience as compassionate motivation. I highly recommend them.
Ivy Rehab in Cobble Hill surpassed my expectations of the impact that physical therapy can have in my life. Andy's attention to detail, vast knowledge of the human body and how it functions and his kind, professional demeanor made coming to PT twice a week a true delight. My hip & lower back pain declined drastically and I completed my 8 weeks with a valuable roster of tools to help me maintain my stability. Thank you Andy & Dan!
Went here for rehab after major foot surgery. Andy got me from not being able to move a muscle to walking around in no time. Couldn't have done it without him. 👍👍
I had both my knees replaced four months ago. Under the expert guidance of Andy, Dan, Chris, I'm now able to walk long distances, and do the things I couldn't do before surgery. Big thumbs up.
Ivy Rehab is the best. I've tried several PT places in NYC, but Ivy is above and beyond the best one I've tried. The staff is all very friendly and professional, and it's easy to make appointments, check in, and work with insurance. I've worked mostly with Andy at the Cobble Hill location and it's been great, he's really helped me through one injury, and we're about to start work on another. What I really appreciate about Andy, and Ivy in general, is that they want to set you up for long-term success, not just immediate relief. Another thing I really appreciate is that each therapist only works with 1-2 patients at a time, so it feels very hands-on. Other places I've gone to will assign 4-5 patients to each therapist, so you only end up getting a few minutes of dedicated face time, which can lead to additional injuries. I highly recommend the team at Ivy Rehab,
Great staff, very professional and knowledgeable.
Best physical therapy I have had. I love the individual attention I get here.
I was a little hesitant to write this review, because I want to keep this place to myself :)This clinic is unlike any PT facility I have been to. The team (Andy, Chris, Dan, and Sylvia) treat you with care and dedicated time. It isn't a cycle you in / cycle you out type of place. Additionally, the PTs are methodical in their care and very knowledgeable about the human body. I feel like I better understand what is happening with my body (recovering from tibial plateau fracture) after coming in.Def check this place out... just leave availability for me.
