Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy Opens Third Location in Muskegon, Michigan

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is now open in downtown Muskegon, Michigan. The clinic is conveniently located at 379 W. Western Avenue, next to the Frauenthal Center. The office is accepting new patients, accepts most insurance plans, and offers convenient hours. With over 30 orthopedic offices and 25 pediatric facilities in Michigan, this location joins Ivy Rehab’s rapidly expanding footprint in the state. 

“I am proud to continue growing our presence along the Lakeshore. This will be our 25th Ivy Rehab location in West MI,” said Lisa Otterbein-Bolek, Regional Director of West Michigan. “It has been amazing to be a part of bringing great physical therapy to the area I grew up in and call home. The Muskegon area is especially near and dear to my heart as my family grew up and receives medical care in the community. Downtown Muskegon is growing, and we knew we wanted to be a part of that growth.” 

Joseph Farr, PTA, CKTP, serves as Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new downtown Muskegon facility.  

“I am very excited to bring what I love to the community I grew up in,” said Joseph. “I look forward to providing the best care to the people of the community, my friends, and neighbors, getting them back to feeling their absolute best.” 

Joe was born and raised in the Downtown Muskegon area and has a fully vested commitment to all the people in this community.  

Joe brings his patients a superior quality of care to accomplish their goals. Joe enjoys working with everyone, from orthopedic injuries to older adults, pre-postsurgical therapy, sports injuries, and everyone in between.  

Joe started his physical therapy journey as a physical therapy tech and taught aquatic classes. Then after graduating as a Physical Therapist Assistant, he worked in all aspects of rehab, from sports rehab, orthopedic care pre and post-surgical, aquatic rehab, and inpatient rehab. Joe has worked as a PTA in the Muskegon area since 2004.  

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his family and time in downtown Muskegon. He also enjoys ultra-running, adventure races, and triathlons.
