Maricel Briones, DPT Opens New Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy Clinic in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach, VA
Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach, Virginia is now open! You’ll find the clinic located between Skinny Dip and IHOP at 4421 Virginia Beach Boulevard. This new facility joins the existing 45 locations within the Ivy Rehab Network of clinics in Virginia.
Maricel Briones, DPT, CMTPT, OCS is serving as the Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Town Center – Virginia Beach facility.
“I am excited to serve the community that I was born and raised in,” said Maricel. “I look forward to bringing specialized physical therapy care, including orthopedic and pelvic health, to the heart of Virginia Beach.”
Maricel has been a Clinic Director and physical therapist for outpatient orthopedics since 2012 and is continuing her professional and academic growth. She is a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist for dry needling and a Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in physical therapy. She also specializes in Pelvic Health Rehab and is the Clinical Leader of Pelvic Health for the Ivy Rehab Network. She has consecutively earned the highest Ivy Rehab Clinical Ladder Level of “Expert” since 2019. Additionally, Maricel is a Teacher Assistant for Herman Wallace for Pelvic Floor Courses.
She utilizes the combination of different evidence-based training for the most accurate differential diagnosis and to individualize each patient’s treatment regime. She is also a strong advocate for education, not only with patients but with interns and volunteers. With her direct access certification in the state of Virginia, she can treat patients immediately to assist with a quick recovery.
Maricel loves family and social events and is always finding ways to help friends and family in need of an extra hand.
