Pediatric Occupational Therapy Residency

The Ivy Rehab Pediatric Occupational Therapy Residency is a one-year, clinically based program created to excel in the professional development of clinicians in the field of Pediatric Occupational Therapy. Expert clinicians will serve as faculty to guide, instruct and mentor each resident in developing advanced knowledge and clinical expertise throughout the residency program. Additionally, the residency program is designed to prepare residents to complete the AOTA Board Certification in Pediatrics (BCP) exam.

The Ivy Rehab Pediatric Occupational Therapy Residency Program provides a structured and robust didactic curriculum to enhance clinical reasoning and advance skills while incorporating the most recent evidence-based practices. This program utilizes a blended model of delivery for our didactic curriculum that includes online self-study modules, live online learning, journal/book club, case review, independent study, AAOTA’s Board Certification in Pediatrics exam review course, and live in-person weekend courses that are to be completed throughout this comprehensive 12-month residency program.

  • Amanda Teusch

“There are so many highlights from this experience. First, being a part of the first cohort of a program that will make waves in the therapy community is an honor. The DIR and Star certification courses are the most important courses I have ever taken. Connecting with so many Ivy teammates is truly priceless. We all have experienced this together, will always be connected, have strengthened our services and brand, and will be a industry leader because of this program. It doesn’t get more Ivy than that! #OneIvy #Igotmyteam” – Amanda Teusch, COTA, Komoko, IN

  • Lorine Forman

I was encouraged to apply since I was newer to outpatient, even though I had so much experience.  I really enjoyed DIR and would recommend the residency to newer clinicians.” – Lorine Forman, OTR/L, Lawrenceville, NJ
