Northern Physical Therapy is Now Open in Norton Shores, MI

West Michigan-based Northern Physical Therapy (NPT) is excited to announce that it will now offer physical therapy services in Norton Shores, MI! As of November 2017, physical therapy services previously provided by Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialists (ORS) located at 6022 Harvey St., Ste. H will be provided by NPT. The change will give this clinic access to new technology and the ability to offer more programs and treatment options for patients. All while giving the residents of Norton Shores a unique, state-of-the-art patient experience.

In addition to the new name, the clinic will be getting a new look, and an expanded staff who bring with them extended knowledge in the areas of sports rehab, back pain, corporate wellness, and general physical therapy for all ages. NPT also has a complete fitness division with plans to introduce fitness classes and personal training to this location in 2018.

“ORS was always focused on providing clients the best experience and highest quality of care, with options close to home, and that won’t change,” explains Michelle Hertel, PT, and Clinic Director. “Joining the NPT umbrella was a logical choice because we can now offer clients more specialized services with a wider range of choices, plus we’ve got a network of resources right at our fingertips. And, we remain happily committed to supporting and being involved in the Muskegon and surrounding communities.”

Helping others, educating community members, and mentoring a team led Gina Otterbein and Janis Kemper to purchase Northern Physical Therapy in 2003. At the time the company was 10 years old, and over the past 14 years, Gina and Janis have grown the business into seven physical therapy clinics.

Northern Physical Therapy’s acquisition of ORS’ physical therapy services will allow patients access to treatments and programs such as:

As with all Northern Physical Therapy clinics, we offer appointments within 24 hours and complimentary consultations with a physical therapist even if you don’t have a prescription. If you’ve injured yourself or are experiencing pain or discomfort, the NPT’s team is here for you. To learn more about our new Northern Physical Therapy clinic in Norton Shores, MI, click here.
