Maria Restaino, Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Opens New Ivy Rehab for Kids location in Brick, NJ
Ivy Rehab for Kids opened its newest location in Brick, New Jersey. Ivy Rehab for Kids offers an extensive array of pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy services delivered by expertly trained therapists. Conveniently located at 101 Prosper Way, adjacent to the Shoprite and Kohls Plaza, this state-of-the-art facility promises world-class care for children in need. This new facility marks another significant step in Ivy Rehab’s expansion across New Jersey, enhancing its robust network of nearly 75 orthopedic and pediatric facilities statewide.
Maria Restaino, MS OTR/L, is the Clinic Director and Pediatric Occupational Therapist at the Brick pediatric facility.
“I’m thrilled to bring comprehensive pediatric therapy services to the Jersey Shore and surrounding areas. I grew up at the Jersey Shore, live in Brick, and feel such a connection and passion to serve the families and kiddos that surround us,” said Maria. “I look forward to providing top-notch therapies to every child that walks through our doors. Our clinic thrives on working with kiddos and families to improve their overall quality of life and create a family feel with exceptional personalized care.”
Maria received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Seton Hall University. She continues to expand her knowledge by taking many continuing education courses specialized in pediatrics, handwriting, fine motor skills, sensory processing disorders, self-regulation, and emotional regulation. She has experience treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, apraxia, Down Syndrome, fine motor delays, sensory processing disorder, and generalized global delays.
Maria began her career as an occupational therapist in adult rehab and quickly transitioned to the pediatric population almost nine years ago. She has worked in schools, outpatient sensory clinics, and early intervention settings.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends and family.
