Ivy ABA Brings Applied Behavior Analysis Services to Williamsburg, Virginia
Ivy ABA Autism Center is now open in Williamsburg, Virginia. The facility is located at 457 Mclaws Circle, across from Wendy’s. This new facility marks the sixth Ivy ABA location in Virginia, joining existing locations in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.
Ivy ABA supports children and their families to learn new skills and techniques using the most effective therapy for autism. They aim to work on what’s most important to the child and their support system by creating an individualized pediatric treatment program tailored to their needs. Whether it’s working on communication, social skills, aggression, non-compliance, self-help skills, play, academics, or fine or gross motor skills, the team always addresses specific concerns for each individual. They focus on increasing the child’s skills while decreasing undesirable behaviors.
Christine Carter, MS., ED.S., BCBA., LBA, serves as the Clinic Director and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst at the ABA facility in Williamsburg.
“I am so excited to be opening this clinic in Williamsburg, a place that I have had the privilege of serving as an in-home provider of ABA and have called home for nearly five years,” said Christine. “I am thrilled to provide families with a place where they can bring their children to receive high-quality ABA services from caring and experienced providers. Ivy ABA is committed to ensuring that we provide top-notch ABA therapy to assist our patients in acquiring socially significant skills so they can live their lives to the fullest and reach their full potential.”
Christine has worked in Applied Behavior Analysis for over ten years. Her extensive experience, exceptional energy, caring and attentive personality, and calm demeanor have allowed her to provide high-quality care to her many patients.
Christine has worked with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder in an academic, residential, and center-based setting, first in Massachusetts, then in Connecticut, and currently in Virginia. After earning her M.S. degree in Psychology in June of 2016 from Capella University and her Ed.S. degree in Behavior Analysis from Simmons College in 2018, she became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her license to practice in the states of Connecticut and Virginia.
Outside work, Christine enjoys watching Marvel movies, rooting for the New England Patriots football team, and spending time with her four boys and husband.
