Where We’re Located

We are located in Charlottesville, VA in Albemarle County. Our location is in the Hollymead and Forest Lakes area. Our location is on Timberwood Boulevard behind CVS Pharmacy and across the street from Target. We love being close to our patients!

We go above and beyond when it comes to the treatment of our young patients. Our goal is to make their experience as close to “playtime” as possible. Our specially-trained pediatric therapists work one-on-one with our young patients to help them, encourage progress, and form lasting bonds. In addition, we work closely with physicians, parents, caregivers, and teachers with a collaborative approach to care to facilitate great clinical and functional outcomes. Southeastern Therapy is the best thing that could’ve happened to my step son. His doctor recommended them to help with some fine motor skills and behavioral concerns, and they did not disappointment. His therapist Rebecca Schuck is amazing with him. I was worried that he would dread going because of them asking him to do too much or pushing his boundaries, but it is the complete opposite. He asks about Rebecca all the time and is always excited to go see her. She incorporates fun activities that challenge him, but makes everything seem like play time. He’s already making solid progress and I can’t wait to see more.

We started visiting Southeastern for speech and occupational therapy immediately after receiving my daughter's autism diagnosis. Rose (speech) and Rebecca (OT) have been amazing! I have learned so much from watching Rose and Rebecca work with my daughter and am able to implement their strategies at home. My daughter enjoys going to therapy, and we started seeing progress during her first week at Southeastern. We are grateful to have found therapists that are making such a difference for our family!

Rosemarie Propes​ did an incredible job working with my 6 year old on his S and TH sounds. Almost all of the sessions were remote and he was discharged today (earlier than expected) based on his great improvements. Very thankful to Rosemarie and the team!

As parents of former 25 week twins, our children began therapy services during their NICU stays and have continued on with such ever since. Due to scheduling constraints with our other therapy center in the midst of COVID, we recently began to research other options for physical therapy for our daughter and occupational therapy for our son. STK was recommended to us by a couple other parents in the special needs community and we have been thoroughly impressed with our experience thus far. From the ease of scheduling, to the therapists, to the layout of the office, to COVID precautions being taken, everything has been wonderful thus far. Thank you, STK!

We love Southeastern. My son has been going to feeding therapy with Rose for just over a year and she has been amazing. During the Covid lockdown she met with us twice a week through telehealth and helped me guide my son through many of his aversions to food. We've been doing in person therapy since June and our experience has been just as amazing. She has done a wonderful job of building a trusting relationship with my kiddo, which has translated to him trusting her to present new foods to him. He has gone from not being able to sit with Mom and Dad at the dinner table because he would gag at the sight of us eat to insisting on sitting with us when we eat and being willing to interact/ play with many of his non safe foods and even put them in his mouth. He continues to make new progress every week.While doing feeding therapy we were able to identify some minor issues with hypotonia and were able to get him doing physical therapy with Rachael right away. He has been doing PT with her for a few months and we are seeing lots of improvement with his low tone and other motor issues.I can't recommend these ladies enough for all they have done to help my little dude!

Two of my sons went there for speech, occupational and physical therapy and it was fantastic! They are knowledgeable and know what new things to try. They also were great at engaging with my kids and going at a good pace for them. They loved going to therapy and loved the therapists. Rose is one of those people that doesn’t treat it as just a job, she goes above and beyond because she genuinely cares for others. As someone who was really stressed out by life near the end of therapy, I am so grateful at how kind and understanding they were to accommodate us and support me in my choice to cancel therapy and take a break for a while. I never felt judged as a parent when I didn’t feel like I was doing enough of my part in therapy at home. They always saw the best in my kids and myself and gave me credit for what ever I could do at the time, which essentially is more motivating in the end. Thank you for being amazing people. I highly recommend this place.
