Dr. Richard Vicory Opens New Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Center of Excellence in West Hartford, CT

Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Center of Excellence in West Hartford, Connecticut is now open! The clinic is located near Shake Shack at 1445 New Britain Avenue. Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and Ivy Rehab have partnered to jointly open these Centers of Excellence, featuring a wide range of equipment and services with highly trained therapists providing world-class care.

Dr. Richard Vicory serves as the Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new West Hartford, CT facility. 

“It is my privilege to bring a state-of-the-art facility and expert care to the wonderful West Hartford community,” said Richard. 

Dr. Vicory graduated with his undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida in 1997, followed by his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from College of Saint Scholastica in 2012, giving him over two and a half decades of experience in the field. 

Richard has been featured in Who’s Who as a top Physical Therapist in the field of medicine, and as top doctor for multiple years. Richard has been published in the Academy of Aquatic Physical Therapy and a research article for Alter G in recognition of his professional excellence. 

He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children in his free time. His interests are hockey and aviation. 

Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy CoE in West Hartford will provide treatments that include AlterG Anti Gravity Treadmill, balance and fall prevention, chronic pain, physical therapy, soft tissue mobilization, orthopedic therapy, post-surgical treatment, vertigo, and much more.
