Dr. Matthew Helleckson Opens New Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy Clinic in Middletown, NY

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is now open in Middletown, New York. The clinic is conveniently located at 88-15 Dunning Road in the Dunning Farms Shopping Center near TJ Maxx. The office is accepting new patients, accepts most insurance plans, and offers convenient hours. This new clinic joins the Ivy Rehab Network of over 450 locations, with over 40 in New York. 

Dr. Matthew Helleckson, PT, DPT, ATC, serves as Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Middletown facility. 

“I am very excited to bring my knowledge and skillset to Middletown and the surrounding areas,” said Matthew. “I have made this area my home and look forward to serving the community by providing the highest level of personalized care.” 

Matthew is a highly motivated and very personable physical therapist. He has a broad background in working with NASCAR, high school sports, collegiate sports, hospital settings, and geriatrics. Matthew takes the time to get to know his patients and provide a personalized care plan catering to patients’ individual needs rather than a one size fits all approach. He enjoys helping everyone from children to older adults and everything in between.  

Matthew began his career with a degree in Athletic Training from High Point University. After graduating, he accepted a job at a 3A High School as their Athletic Trainer for two years. Matthew then pursued a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College. He has since worked in multiple settings, including homecare, outpatient physical therapy, and inpatient physical therapy. He plans to combine his experiences from many settings to provide his patients with the highest level of personalized care possible.
