Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Michael Pafunda, Opens a New Ivy Rehab for Kids Facility in Williamsburg, VA
Ivy Rehab for Kids in Williamsburg, Virginia, is now open. This new facility is located at 457 McLaws Circle. Ivy Rehab for Kids provides a wide range of pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy services with highly trained therapists to provide world-class care.
We have created a warm, caring, and fun environment that will exceed expectations. This facility specializes in developing individualized treatment plans customized for each child’s unique needs. Whether it’s improving sensory processing skills, handwriting, mobility, self-regulation, developmental delays, motor coordination, speech sound production, stuttering, feeding, language deficits, social skills, or other needs, the compassionate team in Williamsburg is here to help.
“We are excited to open our first pediatric outpatient clinic in the Williamsburg area,” said Katie Silva, MS, CCC-SLP, Regional Director in Virginia. “As the largest outpatient pediatric provider in the nation, Ivy Rehab for Kids is excited to provide pediatric speech, occupational and physical therapy to the Williamsburg community.
Michael Pafunda, MSOTR/L, serves as the Clinic Director and Occupational Therapist at the new Williamsburg facility.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to partner with Ivy Rehab for Kids to provide speech, occupational and physical therapy services to the Williamsburg community,” said Michael. “My family and I have lived in the Williamsburg community since 2015, love the area, and look forward to the opportunity to serve the community.”
Michael has been clinic director for the past five years at the Ivy Rehab for Kids location in Newport News, where his team won the President’s Cup for the most outstanding Ivy Rehab clinic in 2020. Michael has advanced to advance clinician level with Ivy.
He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, the top 25 occupational therapy programs in the nation at the time of graduation, and has been practicing occupational therapy in the Hampton Roads area since 2012. He and his family have lived in Williamsburg since 2015.
