Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy Opens New Location in Ypsilanti, MI, Led by Rich Fruitman

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is now open in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The clinic is conveniently located at 2052 Whitaker Road, next to Kroger. The office is accepting new patients, accepts most insurance plans, and offers convenient hours. This location joins Ivy Rehab’s rapidly expanding footprint in the state and marks the first Ivy Rehab facility in Washtenaw County. 

“Ivy Rehab is excited to expand into Washtenaw County with the opening of our Ypsilanti location. Rich Fruitman, MPT, and his team will provide the same exceptional patient care they brought in opening the neighboring Ivy Rehab Belleville location a year ago,” said Scott Sherry, Regional Director of Operations in East Michigan. “This marks the second clinic that Rich has partnered with Ivy Rehab in opening, and the 13th Ivy Rehab clinic to open in Eastern Michigan.” 

Rich Fruitman, MPT, serves as Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Ypsilanti facility.  

“I am extremely excited to open a facility in Ypsilanti to serve the greater Ypsi area and surrounding communities with the highest quality physical therapy services,” said Rich. “I am proud to be Ivy’s first clinic in Washtenaw County and look forward to providing outstanding rehab care that gets patients back to feeling their absolute best.”  

Rich has nearly 24 years of outpatient clinical experience, with a more recent focus on mechanisms of chronic pain and studying Central Sensitization. His treatment style is empathy-based, compassionate care striving to provide the highest quality rehab services with the development of individualized treatment plans designed to maximize patients’ goals and relieve pain.  

Rich utilizes evidence-based care models to treat chronic pain, pre/post-operative orthopedic conditions for the spine and peripheral joints, and balance/fall prevention programs for all age groups.  

Rich and his wife live in Canton, Michigan. Outside of work, he enjoys running, golfing, gardening, and spending time with friends. 

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy in Ypsilanti, MI, provides treatments that include balance and fall prevention, chronic pain, dry needling, McKenzie Method, physical therapy, soft tissue mobilization, orthopedic therapy, post-surgical treatment, vertigo, and many more.
