Ivy Rehab Opens 500th Location in Downingtown, PA, led by Dr. Sean McGuire

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is now open in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. The clinic is conveniently located at 100 Wallace Avenue near Lione’s Pizza. The office is accepting new patients, accepts most insurance plans, and offers convenient hours. This new facility marks the 500th location within the Ivy Rehab Network.   

“We are excited to have the honor of opening the 500th Ivy Rehab clinic in Downingtown, PA. Our company has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years, bringing new opportunities to our teammates that allow us to serve our communities better,” said Ross Nilan, PT, Regional Director in East Philadelphia. “Our Downingtown partner, Sean McGuire, DPT, is a Chester County native now residing with his family in the borough of Downingtown. Sean is one of the few Sports PT Board Certified clinical specialists in the area, and his treatment interest range from all ages, including young athletes to older adults.”  

Sean McGuire, PT, DPT, SCS, serves as Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Downingtown facility.  

“I am very excited to return to the Downingtown community,” said Sean. “Growing up in, and now being a part of this community with my own family, I look forward to bringing a high quality, purposeful physical therapy experience to our neighbors of all ages.”  

Sean is described as very purposeful in his treatment of the patients he sees. He understands physical therapy is part of a busy life and that each session needs to be exceptional. He uses research-based treatment to educate patients and empower them to have a role in their successful outcomes. Sean is one of the few board-certified sports clinical specialists in the area. His treatment interests range from all ages, including young athletes and older adults. He enjoys treating all areas of orthopedic injury, including pre and post-operative, and managing concussion symptoms.   

Sean is a Downingtown native and a 2011 Bishop Shanahan High School graduate. He has been seeing patients in the area since 2018. Outside of work, Sean enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife, two daughters, and dog Beau.  

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy in Downingtown, PA, provides treatments that include: AlterG Anti Gravity Treadmill, balance and fall prevention, chronic pain, physical therapy, soft tissue mobilization, orthopedic therapy, post-surgical treatment, and more.
