Hetal Patel, MS, OTR/L, ASDCS, ADHD-RSP, serves as the Clinic Director and Pediatric Occupational Therapist at the kids’ facility in Monroe.

“I am overjoyed to open Ivy Rehab for Kids in Monroe, the very inviting town in central New Jersey. I am committed to helping the parents in the area with their children’s challenges and disabilities,” said Hetal. “I strive to treat every child as I would my own. Our team cannot wait to further build relationships with families in the surrounding community by providing children physical, occupational, and speech therapy.”

Having a father who is a renowned physician, Hetal naturally developed a passion for helping others. It was reinforced by her spiritual Guru who taught many that “in the joy of others, lies our own.” Hetal considers the smiles on the faces of her patients her biggest reward.

After obtaining her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from NIMS University in India and Dominican University in New York, Hetal has worked in various healthcare settings, including senior, adult, and pediatric. She has vast experience working with children in outpatient, school, home, and center-based therapy. Hetal also received special training and certification in treating children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

She strongly believes in the importance of family involvement in the therapy process to maximize the benefits of therapy. Hetal is friendly, energetic, and compassionate. She stays abreast of and implements the latest research and technology to help her patients.

When Hetal is out of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters, traveling with family and friends, and performing in cultural dance programs.
