Ivy Rehab Announces a New Pediatric Brand–Ivy Rehab for Kids

With the growing need for pediatric physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, the Ivy Rehab Network is thrilled to introduce their new brand, Ivy Rehab for Kids. This facility specializes in developing individualized treatment plans, customized for each child’s unique needs. Whether it’s improving sensory processing skills, handwriting, mobility, self-regulation, developmental delays, motor coordination, speech sound production, stuttering, feeding, language deficits, social skills, or other needs, the compassionate team at Ivy Rehab for Kids is here to help. The orthopedic brand, Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, has been a leader in outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for nearly 16 years, and couldn’t be happier to now offer services specifically for treating a variety of pediatric conditions through Ivy Rehab for Kids.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new IvyRehab for Kids clinic in Fenton, Michigan. We are bringing a team of speech, occupational and physical therapists with passion and dedication for kids, as well as a variety of advanced certifications and experience,” said Jenny LaRue, OTRL and Area Director for Pediatric clinics in Michigan. “I am excited to be back in my hometown to provide a much-needed service for this great community.”

The brand-new Ivy Rehab for Kids location is now open in Fenton, MI, and additional clinics will be opening over the next few months. They’re located at 400 Rounds Drive, at the corner Owen and Rounds Drive, conveniently next to the Ivy Rehab outpatient orthopedic clinic. The Fenton pediatric office has early morning and late evening appointments available to accommodate busy schedules and help children reach their full potential, faster. They’re open Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The office is currently accepting new patients and appointments can be made by calling 810-629-0530.

Emily Christensen, M.A., CCC-SLP is the Clinic Director at Ivy Rehab for Kids–Fenton. She previously worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Leaps and Bounds Therapy Services clinic in Howell, an Ivy Rehab partner.

“I have been a speech therapist for 7 years, and I am excited to be part of the very first Ivy Rehab for Kids location that will be joining the Fenton community,” stated Emily Christensen, M.A., CCC-SLP. “I have a passion for working with children and strive to provide the most up-to-date treatment practices. I am eager to bring my expertise and passion for my profession to this area as part of the Ivy Rehab team.”

Emily brings a high level of energy and personality to the patients she treats. She has a strong background in Linguistics and utilizes this knowledge in her practice to help children achieve their goals. In 2012, Emily became certified in speech-language pathology through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds a certification in Beckman Oral Motor and has also received advanced training in PROMPT, Play Project, and Hanen–More Than Words.
