Dr. Corey May Opens New Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy Office in Cornelius, NC

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is now open in Cornelius, North Carolina. The clinic is conveniently located at 19722 One Norman Boulevard near Planet Fitness. The office is accepting new patients, accepts most insurance plans, and offers convenient hours.  

Dr. Corey May, PT, DPT, ATRIC, MSDN, serves as the Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Cornelius, NC facility.    

“I am extremely excited to return to Mecklenburg County, Cornelius, North Carolina, and the surrounding area after being away for close to two years,” said Corey. “I have made Mecklenburg County my home and will strive to provide reliable, high-quality, and compassionate care to each client I meet. I will uphold Ivy Rehab’s mission and vision to inspire and enable people to live life to the fullest by creating exceptional patient experiences and outcomes at every opportunity.”  

Corey has exceptional energy and compassion for each of his patients. He provides a high quality of care, is creative, and excels in treating a variety of orthopedic injuries. Corey uses research-based techniques and scientific exercise progression and is skilled in the differential diagnosis of many conditions.   

He spent his first year as a physical therapist in skilled nursing, followed by performing a year of guided transition to outpatient orthopedics from Ola Grimsby, trained clinicians in Beachwood, Ohio. Corey obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Ola Grimsby Residency Program in San Diego, CA.   

Corey has experience working with collegiate and professional athletes, soldiers with the Air National Guard, and men and women from all walks of life. Be it returning to sport or returning to a normalized or improved function at work and home, Corey is always excited to reach the goals set at each evaluation. He believes in evidence-based practice and in dosing his exercises as if they were medication to improve the body’s condition on the cellular level and restore normal function.   

Since working with Ivy Rehab, Corey has obtained Advance Clinician Status and continues to perform yearly continuing education to perfect his craft as a physical therapist.  

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy in Cornelius, NC will provide treatments that include balance and fall prevention, chronic pain, dry needling, physical therapy, soft tissue mobilization, orthopedic therapy, post-surgical treatment, and much more.
