My son has had services here for two or three months now and he really seems to enjoy it. The staff are all great and friendly and they work really hard to find appointment times that work for us. This is especially now that times are limited since my son also is attending school now.I think Fleming is a large network of associated therapy services so if you need help beyond speech therapy, other resources such as occupational therapy is also available. Just be aware slots are limited and you may be on a waitlist for a couple of weeks. All in all, I only have positive things to say about this organization and I recommend them highly! One last bit if there are any nerds out there. I learned from Fleming therapists early on that there are several ways of language acquisition. There is the typical way where children treat words kind of like building blocks and they'll build their skills block by block. Then there are individuals like my son who are gestalt learners. This means he learns chunks of language before he's able to use it. So his progress is less like a linear line or curve, and rather looks like stairs. He'll have a period of little improvement and then suddenly he'll level up and surprise you. Then he'll enter another period of dormancy. What's weird is he's a really strong reader for his age but it wasn't my doing, despite my inept attempts to interest him. He somehow learned in his own when playing Roblox of all things, trying to understand what everyone else was taking about.
