If your child has ASD, keep looking. They started sessions and determined our child’s behavior is not fit for their facility. Just telling them of current behavior challenges during evaluation did not help and they did not reach out or bring up the possibility of seeking advice from any other care professional currently working with him. They don’t seem willing to put in effort, but I guess it’s easy to just fill the slot with a child who is easier to work with. Unfortunately, we’re used to that, right ASD caregivers?

I just got back home from my son’s first appointment for physical therapy with Emily O., and from just his first appointment, I have such an immense sense of relief and hope. First let me just say while sitting in the waiting room, seeing and hearing how all the therapists there greeted their littles they’ve been working with immediately put my anxious mind at ease. Patient, kind, and excited. The front office staff are so kind and helpful and I was immediately greeted with a smile the moment I walked through the door. My son has been struggling with a gross motor delay and as his parent, it made me feel helpless. Of course the question was ask ourselves is how do we help!? Not only was Emily so warm and welcoming from our first meeting, she identified some of his problems without me even mentioning them just based off what she was seeing while working with him. She gave me so much info as she was working with him to help me understand what was going on with his body and his muscles specifically, showed me exercises to do with him and actually had me do them with him to make sure I was doing them correctly and felt confident doing them, and before I left, made it a point to reassure me that nothing I’ve done has caused this, that he’s perfect, and that this is fixable. I actually broke down in tears because her saying that felt like she could see the internal anxiety and guilt I’d been holding on to over this and in that moment it truly melted away. I am already so confident in how much my son will progress here knowing he’s in great hands. Could not recommend this office more and I’m so excited to see him reach his full potential! Thank you Emily and thank you staff at EPT! ♥️

WE LOVE EPT!!Everything about this place is great. From the staff, clinic, and services provided you’ve got it all under one roof. It’s an wonderful place to be!The staff at this clinic goes above and beyond. My son has been receiving services for a little over a year and we would not exchange this place for any other. From day one we felt the passion these therapists have. They genuinely love what they do and do a great job at helping all the kiddos.

The only word that can describe EPT is 'home'. We have been going here for a few years with my two boys for speech, PT and OT and its like seeing family every week. From day one, the entire staff has been accommodating and friendly. Jeanine at the front desk has always gone above and beyond to work with our family's ever changing schedule. I think we have interacted with just about every therapist in the office and can say that it is obvious they put professionalism and courtesy above everything else. We cannot put into words what this office has meant to our boys and family.

We LOVE Elgin Pediatric Therapy! Where do I start to explain how AMAZING THIS OFFICE IS! We have been attending services through this business for over 2 years. My boys have made excellent progress and have done very well with each therapist they have had. The therapy services my boys receive on a weekly basis is outstanding! The staff is superb! Everybody in the office goes above and beyond at each appointment to make sure the session is at the highest quality. We feel like family with each relationship we make with all the staff members. We love attending sessions and look forward to each visit!

If you are looking for a therapy clinic for your child, look no further. EPT has great therapists that show professionalism and compassion for what they do. Receptionist Jeanine is a very sweet person and welcomes you when you walk in all the time. All therapists have such a positive attitude and I could tell they love what they do. My experience with EPT has been great and I have nothing negative to say about them! I would highly and strongly recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone!

If you are looking for a therapist who exudes professionalism, compassion, and results, look no further. We cycled through three different occupational therapists before landing at Elgin Pediatric Therapy, where our son has received OT, Speech, and Feeding Therapy services for the past three years. The level of skill and service we’ve experienced here is unmatched. The professionals working with our son are consummate learners; they’ve taken the time to get to know him, our entire family, and are constantly bettering themselves, which has resulted in empowering him and us as a family unit to not just survive, but to truly thrive, as a family. The personalized, skilled perspective of the therapists we’ve worked with has helped us to know and understand our son so that we feel equipped to love him well. Their loyalty is unmatched — at EPT they truly care about providing treatment from a holistic perspective, and the professionals who work with our family have provided countless resources and offered encouragement and advocacy as we navigate the school and medical systems. From the warm and personalized greeting we receive at the front desk, to the in-office sessions and supplementary advocacy, we don’t know where we would be without EPT. We had a wonderful experience with Elgin Pediatric Therapy, where my daughter went for speech therapy with Ms. Joan. Ms. Joan was so patient, caring, warm and effective, as my daughter now speaks and communicates beautifully! In addition all of the staff with whom we interacted have at all times been gracious, kind and helpful. The facility is always squeaky clean, with all COVID protocols strictly followed. I tell everyone I know whose children need speech, physical or occupational therapy that there is no better provider than EPT!!

Our family has always had an extremely positive experience at EPT. The growth our child has made since she began multiple therapies through EPT has been exceptional. Even throughout COVID, her therapy team stayed committed to her success. We absolutely adore the front desk manager, Jeannine, who always welcomes my daughter and me by name whenever we come in for her therapy sessions. Pre Call from Owner: Unfortunately, I would not recommend Elgin Pediatric Therapy at this time. There are fear tactics used and the staff we worked with for some infant feeding therapy are unprofessional. I take this very seriously and do not post a review lightly. My son was a "vocal eater" and the noises he made were concerning me as a first time mom. We took him to EPT for an evaluation and they ultimately had us do a swallow study test at a local hospital. Everything was fine but the way that the therapist positioned this to us REALLY had me scared something horrible was going on. She also is quite opinionated in her claims of what is "best" for feeding. Being that she is the expert, I have still followed her recommendations around avoiding sippy cups and sticking with straw cups for fluids. We have not seen her for 7 months but I valued her advice. Now my sons daycare is requiring that he use traditional sippy cups (some regulation by DCFS) but said it is no problem for him to use the cups that the therapist suggested to us. They'd just like it documented. EPT refuses to give that written letter now and wants us to come in for another evaluation. I am awaiting a call from someone at the Therapist's office to let me know what the reasoning is for not backing up their claims and helping their former patients out. Will update this review accordingly.Post Call from Owner:Update: Received a call from the owner and she was very empathetic and understanding. She appreciated the feedback regarding delivery of recommendations and we also discussed how communication can be altered over written text. Hoping we can move forward but thank you to the owner for the phone call. FYI to the person replying to your business reviews- I would suggest you update your business response here as I have done so. No part of my comments above were "cruel" they were honest feedback about how to better communicate with patients. Business review responses are very important to future clients.

We have been coming to EPT for over 2 years. Our daughter suffered a stroke as an infant, and so she requires Occupational and Physical therapies weekly. Thanks to the staff at EPT, our daughter has learned to walk, run, jump, use both sides of her body, use both hands in fine motor skills and most importantly - our daughter has grown in self-confidence. The staff are always friendly, kind, engaging and courteous. They care about our daughter as if she were their own - challenging her to grow, cheering her accomplishments, and motivating her to new achievements. I would highly recommend EPT to parents looking for therapy for their child. They are competent, not complacent or redundant in their approach to therapy sessions. We’ve also brought our son here for speech therapy, and he walked away from the first session with an awareness of how to correct his pronunciation and tongue positioning. They have worked with us to maximize our insurance benefits and also when having to pay for sessions out of pocket. The front desk manager, Jeannine, is a gem. Exceptionally sweet and friendly, it shocks me that anyone could describe her otherwise. I travel 30 minutes to come to this clinic because I believe the service and care we receive here cannot be topped.

The speech and physical therapists are nice and great at what they do, however the establishment itself isn’t the greatest- far from it in my personal opinion. The receptionist Janine is extremely rude, unorganized, lacks compassion and quite frankly cares more about payments and making clients feel as uncomfortable as can be- to the point where she has walked up and interrupted my sons therapy sessions to discuss payment options (my husbands insurance covers most of it but there is a copay) we would normally pay in cash but on occasion would also pay with our debit card on file. However, when we would pay cash we would normally overpay to avoid having an owed balance- but due to the negligence of the receptionist she would enter the dollar amount on only one side of the therapy and then we would have to deal with her interrupting our sons sessions, and she has also spoke direct and openly In Front of their other clients on numerous occasions, one of which whom I know personally. On another occasion, my son face planted and his lip has busted open in the lobby while in a physical therapy session with the physical therapist and the physical therapy assistant and started bleeding and we were given ice and a towel (which was very kindly the physical therapist) however it was sad and disturbing that when I left the receptionist joked and said “3 people and he still took a spill poor little guy, now how will you be paying for this session” sarcastically which made me infuriated because my son was still upset clearly hurt, we had only been on the session for may 15-20 minutes at most and I felt extremely upset as a parent of a child who needs physical and speech therapy and who has gone to this establishment for months- I am extremely dissatisfied and yes, I did speak with the owner who similar stated I was the “only person who has ever complained about the receptionist Janine which seems off because there is even a review that says otherwise but nonetheless, I wish to share my experiences as a mother and client of this establishment because I would like everyone to know how our experience was. I think personally what sucks the most, is the speech and physical therapist are extremely talented individuals and I would love to have my son work with them but feeling unimportant, and disposable to the establishment has given me mixed feelings.

I was too quick to post a review of this clinic a few days ago, and my wife corrected me on some details. My apologies for an in-accurate initial review.First impression of office: CLEAN. It was the outside of the office, walking toward the front door, that needed some work, though perhaps that's not the responsibility of the staff.First impression of staff: our appointment was at 5 PM. My wife was there at 5 with paperwork and in hand, though not all filled out. My wife confirmed the appointment through email. Walking in, staff said they weren't expecting her, that her appointment was cancelled. They checked in the system, and in fact, they saw the appointment was not cancelled.The therapist did see our daughter, but, through lack of prior communication, said they "don't do diagnosis at the office; only therapy". This was not mentioned to us. I got a referral from our pedi doctor. They couldn't find it in their system.......even though I needed the referral to make the appt in the first place, so....they may misplace documents.Furthermore, we didn't feel the therapist did a proper session towards sensitivity issues...no testing of any sort for that...and we specifically said this is what our daughter was dealing with.Lastly, prior to this appt., we made an appointment by calling the phone number for their Algonquin office. Hence, we went to that office since that is what we wanted. However, the staff failed to mention that the initial appt is in Elgin office. We had to reschedule that first appt.Just hoping to find an office to help our daughter.
