We are located in Brighton, MI in Livingston County. Our location is behind the ABC Warehouse. We love being close to our patients!

We go above and beyond when it comes to the treatment of our young patients. Our goal is to make their experience as close to “playtime” as possible. Our specially-trained pediatric therapists work one-on-one with our young patients to help them, encourage progress, and form lasting bonds. In addition, we work closely with physicians, parents, caregivers, and teachers with a collaborative approach to care to facilitate great clinical and functional outcomes. Our therapists work closely with each patient to create the best, individualized recovery plan.  We are dedicated to helping children reach their full potential, faster!

Our daughter has been working with Speech Therapist Stephanie for two years now. Stephanie has been amazing and I can't recommend her highly enough! Our daughter's progress has been far better than we thought possible. Stephanie has worked closely with us, so we could work together as a parent - therapist team. Without Stephanie's work (with our daughter) and guidance (for us) we would not have made it this far. She was just recently evaluated and she is AVERAGE in all areas! This is amazing for a child who only had one vowel sound at 2+ years old and has been consistently below where she should be.One year ago - this was my review (which I inadvertently did not post!).....Our daughter has been going to Ivy Rehab for Kids in Brighton for nearly 1 year. She has child apraxia of speech, as well as being very shy and anxious. She has been working with Stephanie Oehring (speech language therapist) since January 2022 and the progress has been better than anyone expected! Our daughter is now excited to go to Stephanie and looks forward to playing with her. She is communicating her needs - WITH WORDS! Stephanie has done an amazing job building rapport and working with her to build the speech and confidence needed. Stephanie has also taken a great deal of time to work with us (parents), so we had the skills and knowledge to work with our daughter at home as well. She pushes our daughter, but always within the bounds of what is feasible. Karen and Shelly (front office staff) have also been so easy to work with - always willing to help with any scheduling, insurance or other administrative items!

My son has been seeing Ms Stephanie for speech for several months and has made so much progress. He always is excited to go back and “play”. Stephanie has also been great with communicating his progress to us, setting goals each week to work on at home, and giving ideas of activities that can help.

My daughter has been working with her speech therapist, Stephanie, for the past two years. She loves seeing Miss. Stephanie throughout the week. When she started her therapy she could only say four words, now she has a large vocabulary and has been improving her articulation and intelligibility with her speech. She’s made so much improvement and loves Miss. Stephanie.

My kids have gone here for Torticollis therapy when they were infants, as well as my 3 yr daughter attends now for speech apraxia. She has Ms. Kathleen as her teacher and she is wonderful. Super passionate about her line of work and her enthusiasm draws kids out their shells. I cannot recommend this office enough or their staff. If your kids have any of these issues and need therapy services you won’t be disappointed.

We love Leaps & Bounds. My 3 year old especially enjoys her sessions with Miss Kathleen during speech therapy. She has come a long way in her speech and her confidence in the last year. I would recommend this place and Kathleen to anyone who has a child needing speech therapy.

We have had a great experience at leaps and bounds. My daughter loves going and working with the therapists. They always follow her lead and teach her things based on her interests. We do occupational and physical therapy. After physical therapy she is always so excited about the new things she was able to accomplish. Her balance and coordination has improved so much. She’s gaining hand strength and will be totally ready for kindergarten thanks to the help of the caring professionals here.

We took our daughter here to see Miss Kathleen starting just after she turned two. Due to a year of her life being during the COVID shut down, she was behind on her speech. Since starting she’s gone from barely speaking to now using full sentences (6 months later). We’ve been very happy with the therapy and have learned a lot from Kathleen on how to help at home. Highly recommend!

This place is so amazing! We’ve seen an immense amount of progress in our 2.5 year old in just 7 months of speech therapy thus far. Not only is she finally talking, but she has blossomed into such a social butterfly. Miss Kathleen has been an excellent resource in managing our daughter’s speech delay. She has become a friend to us and our daughter, who absolutely loves her time here! Shelly and Karen at the front desk are also very kind and welcoming. We cannot say enough good things about Leaps and Bounds—our only regret is not starting speech therapy here sooner!

My son has been seeing Miss Stephanie for Speech Therapy here for the last 10 months. She is a wonderful therapist, and my son's speech has improved exponentially! Also, the staff here are always very courteous, and they have been very helpful in assisting with the insurance process. Everyone I have come into contact with at Leaps & Bounds seems to genuinely care about the clients they serve, and I have always felt that this facility is a clean, safe, and welcoming place to bring my children.

Have had 2 kids have speech therapy at Leaps and Bounds. Have been extremely impressed with the therapists. Are very knowledgeable of different treatment methods and will suggest different ones that may be useful. Are very caring and provide open communication to keep you aware of progress. Have also been very helpful with any questions and coordination with therapy provided in school. Very happy with services provided and would highly recommend!

My daughter started going to Leaps and Bounds for feeding therapy at 10 months old. I was amazed at the progress that she made, and I was very impressed by how Jenny engaged with my daughter. Within 8 weeks, my daughter went from refusing to eat anything (purees, solids, etc.) to trying almost anything and actually swallowing it. I am forever grateful for what they did! She just started speech therapy with Kathleen. The office staff and therapy professionals are truly wonderful people!

My son has been going to Leaps and Bounds in Brighton for just over a year now. He receives both speech and OT therapy. I cannot say enough great things about Leaps and Bounds and the therapists who work with him! His therapists give me reports after every session and we have seen huge gains in his speech, behavior, gross motor and fine motor skills. He is more focused and can communicate so much better than before starting at Leaps and Bounds. His speech therapist, Kathleen, has been especially helpful in his journey. She is constantly giving me feedback about his progress and gives me ideas and suggestions about ways that we can help him at home. I am very grateful for her support and the support I have received from everyone there. I also would like to mention the office staff and how accommodating and friendly they are to me and my son. They make it very easy to schedule appointments, answer my questions about billing and payments and always seem happy to see us and the other children who attend there.
